Eternal Brokenness?
A speculative design of the current ceramics industry.
This is a speculative design project on the current ceramic production industrial system.
In this design, the envisioned future scenario is that, for various reasons, ceramics have become extremely expensive, unaffordable for ordinary people. Fragments of ceramics from hundreds of years ago have become valuable items, and in the future, people will use this detector to search for those ancient ceramic fragments.
In the possible future, when we ridiculously expend huge effort to search for ceramics we carelessly discarded hundreds of years ago. We have to reconsider that is it a reasonable choice to discard ceramics capable of lasting thousands of years, the moment they are produced? Should our ceramics industry pay more attention to the fate of these discarded ceramics?
