Conference on the future of industrial design with AI as a design partner – hosted by Lund University and AI Sweden.

An inspiring afternoon returns to explore how artificial intelligence is continuing to transform industrial design. Following last year’s highly successful conference, designers, researchers, and industry leaders will reconvene to reflect on what has changed, examine real‑world applications of AI in design practice, and discuss the skills and mindsets shaping the next generation of industrial designers.

The conference will address how AI is evolving from a design tool into an active design partner, how it is being embedded into products, and how education and professional development must adapt to meet rising demands for AI‑driven competencies.

Participants can expect insights from industry leaders and advanced practitioners, access to cutting‑edge tools and methods, opportunities to network with pioneers in the field, and open discussions on ethical and practical challenges such as authorship, sustainability, bias, and usability.

The event is aimed at professionals and academics passionate about the future of industrial design and the growing role of AI in shaping products and design processes.
