MOSAIC UPHOLSTERY
A building block system for dynamic upholstery
The project explores modular upholstery by challenging the conventions of large, static upholstery and furniture. This approach enables individual parts to be replaced instead of entire pieces of furniture and allows for customization and adaptability.
Here, it showcased a concept consisting of mirrored shapes with slits in between to secure them within rails. Together, the segments form a cohesive surface—almost appearing woven together in a mosaic pattern.
