KIP

Healthy furniture in schools

How can sitting in a classroom become healthier and more sustainable?

Current school furniture is neither functional nor cyclical. The chairs are heavy and rigid, made of laminated wood and coated steel. Sitting in the same position for hours on end is unhealthy, especially for young children.

KIP is a new piece of seating furniture that solves all these problems. It is a stool that can move in all directions and absorbs the movements of the person sitting on it.

This promotes children’s movement, health and concentration. Thanks to its flexibility, KIP adapts to different work situations and the movement calms the head. KIP thus offers schools a new, healthy and functional seating solution.

The entire stool is made of beech wood, without the use of glue. Various wood joints are used to realize the form and function.
