Iris

A kinetic sculpture that reconsiders how we perceive time.

The movement of time is something we rarely question.
A pendulum swings, and we understand it as passing.
Here, that rhythm is interrupted, held in a shifting balance of invisible forces.
Its motion softens, hesitates.
The familiar sequence dissolves.
What remains is not time measured, but time experienced.
Not something leaving or running out, something that is always there.
Resilience may lie in allowing it to unfold, without urgency or resistance.
The piece becomes a quiet space for attention.
An invitation to remain in the present.
Time is not passing. It is unfolding.
What if it is only ever now?
