Gemera Junior

A child seat that lets the youngest join the Koenigsegg experience

This project explores what happens when a child car seat is reimagined through the lens of high-performance automotive design. I had the privilege of collaborating with Koenigsegg, one of the world's most forward-thinking car manufacturers. With the launch of the world's first Mega GT, the four-seater Gemera, Koenigsegg makes room for a new kind of passenger: the child. This opened the door for a unique design challenge: How can a child car seat go beyond function and become a true extension of the Koenigsegg Gemera experience? The child seat is designed to reflect the brand's core values, innovation, precision and exclusivity, while ensuring safety, comfort and usability. Inspired by Koenigsegg's lightweight engineering and sculptural aesthetics, the design incorporates advanced forms, structural optimization and refined materials. The result is a seat that feels naturally integrated into the Gemera's interior. Gemera Junior also explores how generative AI can be used to create safe, lightweight and strong structures. By removing excess material, the strength-to-weight ratio is optimized, aligning with Koenigsegg's performance-driven philosophy. The final outcome is a child car seat that bridges performance and protection, luxury and responsibility. Making it possible for even the youngest to join the Koenigsegg experience.
