The Emergency Location Marker is a signalling device designed to enhance visibility and location accuracy during crisis situations. By deploying a high-visibility helium balloon, it creates a clear physical marker that supports digital communication when it is available and serves as a reliable alternative when it is disrupted.

The idea sprang from observing improvised visual signals used by civilians in the Ukraine war, highlighting the need for a more effective way to physically signal a location in crisis situations when digital communication may be disrupted or non-existent.
