BARBARUSA K-62 LOUDSPEAKER

CLASSIC SOUND, MODERN FORM - A SPEAKER KIT INSPIRED BY VINTAGE SYSTEMS

These floorstanding speakers are the result of an exploration into audio reproduction and speaker design. The project draws inspiration from early loudspeaker systems of the 1930s and 40s, where acoustic horns were commonly used to amplify mid and high frequencies. This vintage reference influenced both the sound character and the visual language of the speakers, aiming to capture the dynamic and rich tonal qualities associated with that era. The design is a balance between historical inspiration and modern functionality, with careful attention given to materials, components, and acoustic performance.

To make the product more accessible and engaging, the speakers are designed as a flat-pack kit. This allows for easy transportation and simple at home assembly, without compromising on sound quality. The aim is to offer users a hands on experience where they can participate in the construction of their own high quality audio system - combining DIY culture with refined acoustic engineering.
